Powerguards Ramping Systems Ltd is a family owned business with over 20 years’ experience of manufacturing and fitting ramps. Primarily, we work with Occupational Therapists from over forty different local authorities and housing associations around the country.
We offer a free site visit and design service to all our clients and our in house trained engineers regularly meet with Occupational Therapists on site to discuss and advise on optimum solutions for each individual’s needs.
As a family, we are immensely proud of what we do and as such, we are always willing to go that extra mile to provide the most efficient and friendly service possible. Our aim is to achieve the best results for all our clients and to create a positive impression for all with whom we come into contact. All our staff are DBS checked to guarantee peace of mind when dealing with vulnerable members of society.
Our ramps are completely self-contained, free standing, modular systems. Designed to create access for wheelchair users in situations which would otherwise not only require planning permission but also extensive, costly and disruptive building work.
By combining the various modular sections, it is possible to create wheelchair access in almost every situation, with minimum assembly time and at a low cost. In addition to our standard sections, we also manufacture to any specification required.
Uniquely, all our systems come with a 25 year guarantee and have a proven track record for safely and reliability.
In addition, we also carry out minor groundwork alterations which can eliminate the need to incur the additional costs of a second contractor. Where major alterations are required, we also work with building contractors to achieve the best outcome.
In terms of cost, we are in most instances 40% more economical than our nearest competitor and the most beneficial aspect of the system is the fact that it is 100% recyclable/reusable. This frequently results in our ramps being 60% more cost effective than other ramping solutions. We operate a system with most of the local authorities with whom we deal, whereby when a client is finished with a ramp, we collect from site, store and refurbish it ready for use again in the next situation. This saves each local authority thousands of pounds every year and is also of great benefit to the environment.
